Responsibilities: Joined team in early Schematic Design and worked from Design Development through Construction Administration. This was my first project produced entirely through Revit. Drew enlarged plans, sections, elevations of exterior, concrete tilt panels. Assisted with concrete, curtain wall, roof, and interior detailing. Created and issued CCD’s during Construction Administration, responded to contractor RFI’s, reviewed submittals, and conducted field observations.
The Everett Clinic is a two-story, 60,000 square foot clinic near the town of Marysville, WA. It is composed of 6 exam pods with 10 rooms each. Specialty departments include dermatology, ear nose and throat, orthopedics, neurology, and behavioral health. It also provides walk-in clinic and advanced imagery services such as MRI, CT scan, ultrasound and radiology.
The building is located on a rather generic, suburban site in close proximity to several large, big-box structures. As such, it reconsiders the common suburban big-box building technique of tilt-up concrete construction. It breaks down the composition into a collection of smaller volumes connected via a glass curtain wall. This acknowledges its contextual surroundings while creating a human scale not characteristic of typical big boxes. The natural concrete finish is exposed and contains a rhythmic pattern of vertical reveals and wood panel accents to scale and texture of the surface further.
